Prima Nebbia is made from 100% Nebbiolo, sourced from vineyards where the balance between ripeness and freshness is paramount. The vinification is deliberately restrained, preserving the grape's aromatic profile. No excessive extraction, no dominant oak, but a style where fruit, acidity, and tannins come together beautifully. This results in a Nebbiolo that has retained its authentic character. Unique in the region.

In the glass, the wine is ruby red. The aroma offers ripe cherries, violets, and rose petals, with subtle notes of black tea, forest floor, and a hint of mushroom. On the palate, it is juicy and elegant, with soft yet distinct tannins and fresh acidity that give the wine tension and length. The finish is refined, earthy, and surprisingly long.

We consider this a very unique wine; Prima Nebbia is an honest Nebbiolo made in a very traditional way by an incredibly beautiful boutique winery focused on quality rather than quantity. It's a wine that can still age, but primarily invites immediate drinking, as 2021 was a very good vintage in Piedmont. It pairs well with mushroom pasta, truffles, charcuterie, veal, or a classic pizza with tomato. Also wonderful with simple dishes, where the wine still has room to shine.

For a very special authentic Nebbiolo, just a little different from most Nebbiolos from the Piedmont region, this Prima Nebbia is an excellent choice.
