Nebbiolo at its most elegant: classic, precise, and timeless.

Barbaresco is Nebbiolo at its most refined: power with precision, structure with elegance. At Rocche dei Barbari, a family business with roots going back to the 17th century, Barbaresco is made with a great sense of calm and tradition. No rush, no frills, just time, balance, and purity.

The 2020 Barbaresco comes from carefully selected vineyards in the heart of the appellation. The grapes are harvested at different times, so that freshness, ripeness, and structure complement each other perfectly. The wine then matures slowly in old, neutral wooden barrels and partly in concrete, so that the character of Nebbiolo is fully preserved and the wood never takes center stage. 2020 is also an elegant vintage, with very good aging potential.

In the glass, you see a bright ruby red with light garnet hues. On the nose, refined aromas of roses, violets, and red cherries, followed by notes of black tea, spices, and an earthy undertone. On the palate, it is firm and layered, with fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins that give the wine structure without dominating. The finish is long, precise, and beautifully balanced.

This is Barbaresco as we like to see it: classic, understated, and elegant. A wine that slowly unfolds in the glass and lets every detail speak. For Nebbiolo lovers with finesse, truly a gem from this unique, authentic boutique winery from Barbaresco. The wine pairs well with mushrooms or truffles, veal, wild poultry, risotto with Parmesan, or dishes from classic Piedmontese cuisine.

You'll want to taste this, and you can right away – we recommend decanting the wine briefly. The wine can also be stored in the cellar for a good while. This is truly something special in the glass, a Barbaresco for long evenings and attentive dining.
